Zydeco is a purebred Straight stallion from ABC parentage, and is double registered with ICHO and ABCR. His dam, SiouxZ has been exported to England where she is producing more quality Curly foals for breeders there. And his sire is from Tall Trees Curlies in Ontario - home to coveted and protected bloodlines of excellent breeding stock. Zydeco has been impressive since the first, and his meet me on a dead run with a whinny on his lips/stick your head in the halter and let's go attitude have won my heart! His outstanding build and head-turning good looks so impressed me, and he earned his right in the breeding barn in 2011. Later that year he was exported to Canada, leaving behind the hopes of progeny in the making. In 2012 we were rewarded by the birth of two Curly sons from Zydeco - *Stag Creek Palermo and *Stag Creek Solen. And while we were sorry to see him go, and even regret his sale(though it was to an outstanding home), we are excited that his genetics will live on at our farm through these two colts! If you like Zydeco as much as I do, I think you will want to watch for more good things to come through his sons. UPDATE: Zydeco was purchased as a personal horse in Canada and has since been gelded. The below photos of Zydeco were taken on a very rare, snowy day here in central Texas at our farm. While the photos are not as clear, due to the overcast day, I wanted to share them here with you. I hope in these photos, you may see the brilliance of this young colt in movement. We think he has a lot to offer and are quite excited about his possibilities as a stallion!
