*Pawnee is a smokey black purebred Curly filly from two very beautiful Curlies, and I expect she will be quite a looker herself! Her compact build reminds me so much of the Q-Card and Ebony line of horses that were responsible for getting this breed off to a great start. *Pawnee sports plenty of muscle with a beautiful full hip, long mane ringlets, pretty eyes, great fetlock feathering, and athletic movement. Add to that a cream gene, and this girl has the possibility to pass on some very unique traits in the breeding barn. Her sire *Apache was 15.1hh and dam *Zadie stands 14.2hh, so *Pawnee will fit right in with the heights listed in the breed standard when she is mature. *Pawnee is the 4th smokey black Curly that has been produced by our farm - and it surely is a beautiful color both in the slick summer coat, and with the winter curls; one of our other smokey blacks now resides in Wales.

Updates: Pawnee was not born on our farm, but was born to a bred mare that we sold prior to her birth. The new owner of the dam decided to sell Pawnee as a weanling, and I jumped at the chance to have her back!!! She did have an accident with a fence in her first home, so there is a scar on her face across the bridge of her nose. It does not affect her in any way - it is simply cosmetic. She is a very lovely girl, and is growing very well as a yearling. You can see the scar in her facial photos below - it did not show in her winter curls - but it is visible in her summer coat. Nonetheless - she is a beauty! Smart and willing, Pawnee is going to bring years of joy to those around her.
